About Fast Lane Vitality

Bob Caris, founder of Fast Lane Vitality

"The drive to start Fast Lane Vitality began during my work as a psychologist in the regular mental health care system. Waiting lists, diagnoses, and health insurers were too dominant. There had to be a way to provide excellent mental health care from person to person—without waiting lists, diagnoses, or the influence of health insurers. Just the primary process, nothing more. Some time later, Fast Lane Vitality became a reality."

Bob Caris

The drive to start Fast Lane Vitality began during my work as a psychologist in regular mental health care. Waiting lists, diagnoses, and insurance companies were too dominant. There had to be a way to provide excellent mental care from person to person—without waiting lists, without diagnoses, and without insurance companies. Just the primary process and nothing more. Some time later, Fast Lane Vitality became a reality: mental care for employees, as preventive as possible.

The more preventive you approach mental care, the closer you get to the coaching world. And there are some excellent coaches! Unfortunately, due to the proliferation of coaches, the market has seen a decline in quality. That’s why, at Fast Lane Vitality, we work exclusively with NIP psychologists and GZ psychologists—ensuring high-quality care at an early stage.

As a psychologist, I enjoy working with ACT, schema therapy, and positive and provocative psychology. A program with me might feel a little uncomfortable because, if we approach your process correctly, you’ll confront something you’ve been avoiding for a while. That can be scary but is also necessary. Throughout the program, Fast Lane Vitality and I are on your team. Together, step by step, we guide you toward sustainable recovery.

Willem Driessen

The well-being of people in organizations has always been one of my greatest interests throughout my career. After completing my studies as a creative therapist, I spent significant time working as a welfare officer on the shop floor. Eventually, I decided to delve deeper into the role of the employee within an organization. This motivated me to pursue a Master’s degree in Work and Organizational Psychology.

In recent years, I worked as a regional manager in mental health care (GGZ). Afterward, I made the deliberate choice to join Fast Lane Vitality, as I believe this is where I can make the greatest contribution to employee well-being within organizations.

As an operational manager, I am committed to ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible and enabling Fast Lane Vitality to have the greatest impact.

Maureen Botz

As a psychologist and trainer at Fast Lane Vitality, I focus on your mental well-being as an employee. What intrigues me, and what I love to help people with, is (re)gaining the ability to function in a healthy way. My background in both psychology and commerce enhances my ability to analyze complex situations and take purposeful action.

I have an intrinsic motivation to create a warm, welcoming environment where you feel heard and where, together, we can identify your needs and ensure you achieve your goals. To do this, I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness.

Janna Termeer

As a work and organizational psychologist, I am curious about people’s behavior in their work. Early in my career, I encountered themes such as healthy working, stress, and burnout, and I have since specialized in these areas. As a psychologist, I engage in conversations with individuals who experience unrest due to factors such as setting very high standards, insecurity, a strong sense of responsibility, or a busy mind.
Together, we explore which beliefs and behaviors are holding you back and how things can be different. I utilize theories and exercises from psychology, mindfulness, self-compassion, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My approach is warm, stimulating, humorous, and honest. In a journey with me, it’s not just about talking; you will primarily experiment with new behaviors.

Anne van Nes

As a NIP psychologist, I have extensive and long-standing experience in Work and Health. My background spans occupational health and absenteeism, management consulting, training, coaching, and psychological treatments. I specialize in supporting individuals with mental health issues caused by overburdening and am well-versed in the dynamics between employers, employees, and psychologists.

My preference is always prevention—both at an individual and organizational level. I primarily use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), complemented by various coaching methods.

In a meeting with me, everything is aimed at achieving sustainable results for all parties involved. Employees will leave with more effective strategies that promote psychological flexibility and resilience, even in the workplace. This contributes to a healthier work-life balance, improved communication about well-being at work, and early recognition of warning signs in the future.

Christina Westgeest

My strength lies in building connections and empowering people. I love challenging individuals and discovering new paths in a playful manner. In this process, genuine contact between people is crucial. Sometimes, you may know why you do things the way you do, yet you still can’t seem to grasp it fully. By exploring what arises in our interaction, you gain new insights and practice new behaviors at the same time. In this way, we (re)discover balance in feeling, thinking, and acting.
I believe it’s important for you to feel free to be yourself, and I provide ample space for you to share your story. No matter how strange things may seem to you, nothing human is unfamiliar to me. My focus is always on you and what matters to you, helping you to trust in your own strength.
I have a broad educational background and always work in an eclectic and holistic manner. I have experience with ACT, EFT, polyvagal theory, body-oriented work, EMDR, positive and solution-focused psychology, focusing, and systemic work.

Christian Henningsen

Christian is a registered NIP psychologist with years of experience in both specialized and basic mental health care. He has a background in Work and Organizational Psychology, during which he has helped individuals with a wide range of issues, enabling him to accurately assess what each client needs. He is an expert in supporting people who are overwhelmed. He adopts a holistic perspective, addressing not only mental complaints but also incorporating body-oriented approaches. He utilizes various methodologies, including Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. The focus of therapy is on regaining control of one’s life by making conscious choices. Christian supports his clients in the process of awareness, helping them to better recognize what is necessary to break free from unhealthy patterns and find their way toward recovery and mental well-being. As a result, employees learn to better identify their needs and develop strategies that enable them to move forward independently, preventing further overwhelm.

Emiel Boogerd

Esther Assink

Esther is an experienced psychologist who looks beyond just the symptoms. Her approach is characterized by a holistic perspective. Not only the mental aspect, but also the physical and social components play an important role in her analysis and guidance. Esther works with techniques such as ACT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. She is also rapidly developing her skills in the systemic approach. During sessions, Esther supports you in a non-judgmental and empathetic way. She walks part of the journey with you, helping you find your direction. At the same time, she equips you with the right tools so you can continue your path independently.

My name is Eveline Schuller. I am an admitted psychologist with a passion for nature and hiking. I combine these two ingredients, movement and nature, with my psychological treatments. My mission is to help others on their way and contribute to mental well-being. I work complaint-oriented and insightful, in line with the wishes and needs of my clients. My style is friendly, involved, curious and directing where necessary. I have over 20 years of experience in outpatient mental health care. I treat a variety of mental health complaints, such as anxiety and mood symptoms, trauma, overwork/burnout and consider myself an all-round psychologist. I have a great affinity with the treatment of psychotrauma, coping problems and self-image issues. After my university studies (2002), I gained my knowledge in the field. I attended post doctoral trainings and courses such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schematherapy, EMDR and Acceptance and Commitment therapy.

Flore Ossewaarde

Flore is deeply engaged in life as a registered Work & Organizational Psychologist (NIP). Through her involvement with the Netherlands Institute of Psychologists and her background as a registered psychologist, she collaborates with clients to bring out the best results in their employees. She understands better than anyone that there can sometimes be a gap between what someone wants, what they can do, and what they actually do. The key is to bring those three into balance, and Flore knows all the tools to do this successfully. In addition to her registration as a Work & Organizational Psychologist, she has studied Educational Science and has over 10 years of experience as an HRD consultant. Identifying talents and utilizing and developing them correctly has proven to be the best success formula for both employees and employers for years. With a special certification in career coaching, she specifically focuses on the area of someone’s talents in the workplace. She has years of experience in administering and interpreting assessments using scientifically validated testing instruments. This allows her to quickly provide qualitative insights into a person’s talents, motivations, and competencies.

What characterizes Flore’s approach? In conversation, Flore takes an investigative and assertive approach. With full commitment and the necessary passion, she engages in dialogue to bring out the best in someone. Together, they explore desires as well as the potential to translate those desires into realistic, concrete actions for practice—identifying the steps someone can take to enter the workforce with more happiness and enjoyment. Flore enjoys sailing and understands that things don’t always go as planned, but rather as they unfold. ;-)

Geeske Wichers

Gijs Lakeman

“Change what you cannot accept and accept what you cannot change” is my motto. It is liberating to accept things as they are. I am here to help you create that breathing space. On the other hand, it can also be energizing to realize that you can do more than you thought. I enjoy exploring with you what aspects of yourself you can change and which parts you might be better off accepting. You will definitely find a dedicated person by your side.
In our first conversation, we will look at what the problem is exactly, and I find it important to gauge your expectations. What do you need, and what do you expect from me? During the subsequent sessions, we won’t dig too deep. Because if you look for problems, you will find them. This way, you can end up from the rain into the downpour: you arrive with one issue and leave with four. I want to prevent that. At the same time, I have noticed that it is necessary to understand the past. Of course, there may be unresolved traumas, and the past has also shaped who you are today. Throughout the process, I try to maintain a good balance between the “here and now” and the past, making that connection as well. I also know various techniques to process traumas.
Furthermore, I am a strong proponent of a personal approach and like to keep my finger on the pulse. By giving you the right push, I help you to truly move forward.

Irene Berben

Irene, as an experienced psychologist, is always seeking ways to guide every situation in the right direction. She utilizes positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy in her approach.
As a sparring partner at any level, Irene knows how to connect with employees and view their situations from their unique needs. Characteristics of Irene are the sense of safety she provides, her ability to maintain perspective, and her decisive working style.

Karin Nijssen

Karin brings knowledge from her experience working with clients in both basic and specialized mental health care as a psychologist. She graduated in the field of Developmental Psychology, which focuses on supporting individuals’ development throughout their entire lifespan. Karin is naturally curious, inquisitive, and analytical, and she wants to understand what motivates you. She believes that each person is unique in their development and has their own story to tell. From this perspective, she looks broadly at your issues and the challenges you face, helping you in a way that suits you. Karin utilizes interventions from various treatment methods, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
Karin enjoys working in an insightful manner. By asking the right questions and reflecting on your behavior, she confronts you to help break patterns. Together, she explores what possible underlying feelings and thoughts may be causing or maintaining your issues. Learning to recognize and become aware of the feelings, thoughts, and behavioral patterns associated with your complaints, and then learning to break and release these patterns, is an important step in your recovery. As a psychologist, she supports you in this process, maintaining an open, engaged, and non-judgmental attitude.

Kim Bokking

I studied at the University of Twente, where I completed my master’s degree in Risk, Conflict and Safety Psychology. After that, I started working in chronic pain rehabilitation, where I became acquainted with the collaborative dynamics between head and body. Our body sometimes reacts enormously to a mental imbalance. Fascinating, a source of information.

I am convinced that you have to work on your mental resilience, preferably as preventatively as possible. It is not something that happens to you. Work and participation play a very important role in my approach. Sitting still and waiting for things to get better actually has little to no point. That is why I like working at Fast Lane Vitality.

I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Interventions and work solution-oriented. I pay a lot of attention to integrating emotional life. With all the tools in my toolbox, I stand by you to ensure that you experience happiness and health in your life again.

Kristel Caris

As a licensed healthcare psychologist (GZ psychologist), I am responsible for ensuring the quality of individual programs at Fast Lane Vitality. I specialize in systemic work, making me an expert in work-life balance and the power of participation in work and society.

In addition to systemic work, I also use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Schema Therapy. My approach is known for being “to the point”—professionally confrontational yet highly effective in promoting recovery and return-to-work for employees.

I also play a key role in developing program plans, using my expertise to clearly assess whether the needs of the employee and organization align with Fast Lane Vitality’s offerings.

I have been working as a psychologist since 2016 after having worked for a number of years as a researcher in the field of Occupational Health & Absenteeism. From a young age, I have been very curious about why people do what they do, and how to influence that. I enjoy most processes in which people gain more insight into their behavior and thought patterns, which makes them realize that they have the freedom to adjust their behavior to what is helpful and valuable to them. I work a lot from the ideas of (process-oriented) ACT and CSR. My specialization is in the field of stress and burnout; what happens physically under the influence of stress and how do you recover from it? In addition, I have the basic accreditation EMDR. But my starting point is always the solution-oriented view: what is possible, what does the client want to move towards instead of what does the client want to get rid of?

Lianne den Haan

As an occupational and organisational psychologist and sports psychologist, I have extensive experience with the effects of prolonged work pressure, work stress and performance pressure on people. Do you suffer from stress and tension, worrying, perfectionism, fear of failure or a negative self-image? Then I can help you. Do you not have any complaints yet, but want to prevent them? You can also come to me for prevention.

My style is open, warm, personal and practical. I believe it is important that you play an active role in our process and that you achieve lasting and sustainable change at the end of it. We make extensive use of techniques such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Positive Psychology and other techniques that are often used in sports.

Loes Raes

Have you ever experienced something that completely turned your life upside down? For me, that moment came when I returned home completely burnt out from my job as a manager in healthcare. I simply couldn’t go on any longer. This was not the life I wanted, especially after working so hard for it.
I found it to be a significant challenge to come to this realization. I began to explore where my energy was being drained and how I could regain it. I discovered my passion and set out to fulfill my mission: to help people empower themselves.
As a psychologist, I enjoy using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and positive and solution-focused psychology. My style is warm, engaged, and sometimes confrontational. I guide you to the core of your story and from there, I love to show you what is possible for you. I will support you step by step and provide you with practical tools and insights.
My passion is to help you reconnect with yourself, giving you the tools to make choices that align with your values from a place of calm and self-confidence. I also aim to help you place painful memories you’ve accumulated along the way in a context that feels appropriate.

Marga Nijhuis

Marga is a practical, curious, and enthusiastic woman; clear, sharp, and engaged. She enjoys working at the intersection of people, health, and organizations.
Her life goal is to become an old wise woman, which is quite a challenge 😊. Reflecting or mirroring is a lifelong and logical process for her (with pleasure and without getting lost in introspection).
See – Move – Be Moved
She believes that every person becomes more autonomous, lighter, and more authentic when they dare to take up space in both their work and personal lives. However, this doesn’t always happen easily. She is driven to support others in this development, which goes beyond gaining insights and talking about them. Real change is reflected in actions and being. Head, heart, and gut must work together. Taking ownership is essential.
Her diverse studies and courses, along with over 15 years of experience in various HR roles and social projects, have shaped her approach. This results in tailored solutions and a straightforward methodology.

Merel Molenaar

Merel will help you regain your own strength. As a work, organizational, and staff psychologist, she supports you using ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
You can expect an open and engaged therapist who will listen to you. Merel values taking practical steps to ensure that you can truly work on recovery and personal development.

Mieke Geevers

As a Work & Organizational Psychologist, Mieke has extensive experience with work-related issues. Her foundation lies in positive psychology, which certainly does not mean that negative experiences are not discussed. Mieke is pragmatic, creative, and works from a here-and-now perspective. By showing genuine interest, she quickly connects with employees. Moreover, laughter is a regular part of the conversations, which is certainly important.

Miranda Gruijters

“From now on, you take the reins!” I am an experienced psychologist who values personal growth and body awareness in my guidance. Life is meant for growth, becoming more conscious, and learning to feel whether we are on the right path. It still moves me, even after 25 years, to see how people learn to accept and love themselves. That is what I wish for everyone. I work from my heart and intuition and hope to welcome you to my practice soon. My approach enables you to live much more in balance between your head (thinking), your heart (feeling), and your gut (acting). This brings you greater happiness and allows you to experience more joy in all aspects of life (wholeness). I use various therapeutic methods, always tailored to you as a client. One commonly used method is EMDR, not only for trauma processing but also for transforming entrenched negative beliefs into more positive ones, so you can see the world through a more beautiful lens.

Mithra Falter

Hi,

I am a practical, curious and enthusiastic woman; clear, sharp and committed. The triangle man, health and organization has always been my interest. With pleasure I coach people in various areas, think of stress & burn out, personal issues, mental health. I believe in your own direction and responsibility; after all, you are in control of your life. And if you have lost it, I will gladly help you to regain it. Head, Heart and Belly work together, thinking-feeling-acting is important. Learning to listen to the “whispering” of your body and less to the “screaming” of your head is definitely part of the guidance.

My own life goal is to become an old wise woman and that is still quite complicated. Reflecting or mirroring is a lifelong and logical process for me (with pleasure and without navel gazing). I would like to be that mirror for you too. Seeing – Moving – Being moved Various studies and courses have shaped me, in addition to more than 15 years of experience in various HR functions and various social projects. I am a partner of CSR and registered with the NIP.

Monique Bekker

Monique is curious about what drives people. She supports you in your journey to discover how you want to live your life and what you no longer want. You make choices based on what is good for you, rather than from fear or pressure from others. Monique’s approach is refreshing and innovative, as these are the foundations of guidance with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Custom exercises are part of the process, allowing you to experience new and/or different behaviors. Monique works from the belief that you cannot avoid life’s problems, but you can learn to deal with them differently—not by always thinking positively, but by giving yourself the space to experience difficult emotions as well. This includes cultivating a gentler relationship with yourself and making decisions from that place. Your values (and not your fears) become your compass. Monique is a social psychologist, a registered occupational & organizational psychologist (NIP), and is trained as a coach in strength-based coaching (Korthagen). In addition, Monique is an active ACT trainer and has authored three books. In other words, you are in good hands with Monique 😉.

Nicolette van Wijk

I am Nicolette, a trainer and coach. With my background as a vitality coach, stress management coach, registered case manager for absenteeism, and burnout coach, I possess a broad range of knowledge regarding individual well-being.
Throughout my career in the corporate world, I have observed what does and does not work when it comes to implementing vitality within an organization. This background helps me effectively translate theoretical knowledge about vitality into practical applications within a company or team. It is a challenge to truly assess what works specifically for that team. Each team and individual operates uniquely, so training should never be a one-size-fits-all approach but rather tailored to the company’s situation. What I find most rewarding is seeing new insights and energy emerge in a team as a result of our training sessions.
In addition to being a trainer for Fast Lane Vitality, I am also the owner of Burnin’Gym. Burnin’Gym implements movement interventions to support individuals struggling with burnout symptoms. I focus on physical recovery, but mental and emotional aspects of well-being are also important. Through my vision, I aim to raise awareness in the Netherlands about the power of sports in addressing mental health issues.

Romy Klein Essink

Drawing from her expertise as a psychologist, she passionately guides adults in the field of Work & Health. The work environment has taken on an increasingly important role in our lives over the past few decades; it is the place where you are challenged, inspired, and form (important) social connections. Throughout one’s career, you may encounter challenges that at times seem too big to solve alone, which can lead to various issues. These can include a demanding work environment, a distressing or traumatic incident, friction between you and a supervisor or colleagues, or a tendency to procrastinate certain tasks until the last moment, which can cause problems. Additionally, personal situations may arise that affect work capacity. According to Romy, work and personal life are inextricably linked. In her programs, Romy works eclectically. This means she utilizes different types of therapy and techniques based on who you are and what you need. She combines evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness, and positive psychology.
During the program, we regularly evaluate: are we still on the right track, or have personal goals changed or developed in a different direction?

Susan Heijman

“At the heart of difficulties lie opportunities” (Albert Einstein) — this is what drives Susan as a person and as a psychologist.
Looking to regain control of your balance and mental vitality? She achieves this by placing you at the center of the process. Who are you? What do you need? What works for you? This personal, goal-oriented, and results-driven approach is characteristic of Susan.
As a registered NIP psychologist, Susan draws on extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of stress, burnout, and trauma. She also incorporates techniques from mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
The sessions are primarily aimed at gaining insight, learning new skills, and experiencing real change. You will work on finding your new balance, learning to set healthy boundaries, and regaining energy. You will also have more freedom and awareness to make choices.

Sometimes you feel less comfortable in your own skin because of somberness, anxiety or tension symptoms, for example. This may have an obvious cause, but sometimes you don’t know why. You are not always able to work it out yourself. If your symptoms persist or you don’t know how to proceed, as a psychologist I can help you. Together we investigate why you feel this way and what is needed to make you feel better. Even if you already know better what you need, but find it difficult to do this alone, I am happy to help you.

In my consultations, I like to work collaboratively. There is no standard treatment that works for everyone, so I focus on you as a person: what do you need to recover? I see our collaboration as a team, where together we investigate which factors are maintaining your complaints and how you can break this circle.

I work eclectically, which means that I do not work according to one method, but use multiple methods. I make extensive use of exercises from CBT and ACT. I also do EMDR and use exercises from the SFT.

‘If you change nothing, nothing will change’: change will not come into your life until you make it. This may include your thoughts, your lifestyle or your expectations of the world. Zohra’s challenge at Fast Lane Vitality is to guide you and ask the right questions. But you are the one who will discover it. Do you dare to confront yourself?

Zohra specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, positive psychology and solution-focused psychology. CBT helps turn negative thoughts into positive ones. Very helpful because many problems arise from negative thought patterns. Awareness is very important here. Your thoughts influence your behavior, and your behavior then influences the outcome. EMDR is focused on trauma processing. Maybe you suffer from a negative self-image. Or maybe you are still struggling with trauma from childhood or young adulthood. You might not be aware of this, but it could be causing you to not feel good about yourself at work.

In addition to her registration as a Work & Organizational Psychologist, she has studied Educational Science and has over 10 years of experience as an HRD consultant.
